Feeding the Spirit – A One Day Spring Wellness Retreat

We deserve to feed the spirit:

  • To take that stuck feeling and wash it clean
  • Sharing our struggles in a safe environment
  • Allowing our bodies to move in freedom and joy
  • Discovering the connection to loving now
  • Nourishing ourselves with the right foods
  • A few hours that are immersed in pleasure and community
  • Drinking a cup of tea that is still hot!!!!

Spring allows us to:

  • Cleanse out bad habits
  • Learn to feed our bodies seasonally
  • Start fresh
  • Feel community
  • Start to move in new ways
  • Nurture connections
  • Trust in the cycle of nature
  • In that trust to find joy within ourselves
  • Give ourselves a spiritual bubble bath

There are days when the tears want to flow. We don’t know why. As moms there is a tiredness that only we feel. We give, nurture, love, feed, clothe, play, laugh, cry, wash, make, kiss, smile and repeat for others each day. It is a beauty of being a mother. When it becomes a drain, when it feels lonely, it is time to gather strength from those who understand, who know the tired before you mention it.

We need a reset.

A retreat. A place where we go for the day to know that we are part of a community. Where tears are safe and laughter welcomed. This can happen in one day, while the rest of the world carries on. While we are drinking green smoothies and learning about that deep, glorious connection to our selves, our families are gaining a gift. A gift of a mother who knows that the power of her strength in her family, comes only when she restores herself.

We will feed our spirit by:

  • Learning a phrase that connects us to the present
  • Identify our body type and how we should be feeding it and moving it
  • Talking about pleasure and what that means for us
  • Redefining health – what health truly is
  • Eating food that allows energy and joy to flow
  • Standing in a circle of women, mothers, who share energy and purpose
  • Understanding how we will be guided through the tough days
  • Getting real with ourselves and each other
  • Moving our bodies gently and safely through yoga (even if we have never done yoga before)
  • Taking what we learn and infusing it back into our lives
  • Talking with other women and not feeling alone

What YOU will leave with:

I will be guiding you toward feeding your spirit, teaching you about your body, nourishing yourself and supporting you to leave with joy, passion and excitement for your life.

Along with green smoothies and a meal that will be homemade, gluten-free, dairy free and vegan (wow) we will have some gifts from our sponsors. Runa tea will be providing us with hot tea to drink and Lara Bars will make sure we have snacks to keep our energy up and our taste buds happy! So grateful for their gifts and support of being health and vibrant in all we do in life.

Finally, I know that as a mom it is hard to spend money on ourselves. I struggle with it. I also know that when we go get a beautiful hair cut or a pair of jeans that makes us look like a knock-out our spirit is lifted. This retreat is the back bone of sustaining that feeling of being amazing. And if you have never felt amazing, then it’s time.
