The Ultimate Cleanse for Women with Busy Lives

“I have done this cleanse twice, and plan to do it again. It was a wonderful way to connect back to myself – not just around eating, but around being mindful, present and taking care of myself. A wonderful by-product of the cleanse was the food that I was able to share with my family. I now have children that love mung bean soup and green smoothies! Thank you Hannah. What a gift…” -Susan, Providence, RI

Why are we cleansing?

  • Gorgeous glowing skin
  • Abundant energy
  • Lose sugar cravings
  • Melt away the bloat
  • Even out our moods
  • Connect with the season
  • Identify stress eating versus real hunger

Is it complicated?

  • This is a simple whole foods cleanse
  • You will eat plenty of food and not feel deprived of anything (well, the first couple of days without caffeine and chocolate might not feel great)
  • A list of suggested seasonal foods
  • A list of suggested foods to avoid
  • Sample meal plans
  • Ways to prepare for the cleanse
  • Group e-mail support and daily inspiration

Who is it for?

  • This cleanse is designed for the busy woman/mother
  • Someone who can prepare 75% of their food or has a Health Food Store with prepared foods
  • The women who needs more energy
  • The women who wants to put down the Cheese-Its and stop eating off their kid’s plate
  • Someone who has been battling with colds, yeast infections or the moodiness that comes from sugar highs and lows
  • Those who like simple and efficient
  • The stress eater who wants to connect with real hunger
  • Those who can’t figure out why they are holding the extra weight
  • And you can live anywhere, all you need is your e-mail

Why each season?

  • As the seasons shift our bodies can become confused as we need to shift into the foods that support our body in that season
  • Holidays tend to bring a 5-15 pound gain to most people
  • Winter builds up mucus in the body
  • Will power does not work, shifting your body into healthy foods that taste great does
  • You have all been asking me to do more cleanses!
  • Group support is powerful and as a team we can find our energy, power and joy through our food choices
  • This will be a beautiful way to say no to resolutions, and yes to actions and intentions that work

How will it work?

  • This will be a 10 day cleanse, leaving you full of energy and vibrancy
  • A preparation guide for the week prior to the cleanse
  • A list of suggested Seasonal Foods
  • A list of suggested Foods To Avoid
  • Sample Meal Plans
  • A frequently asked questions handout
  • List of ways to prepare for the cleanse
  • Recipes for seasonal meals will be provided
  • Daily e-mails and videos from myself will arrive in your inbox each morning as part of the Google group of cleansers
  • You will have updates from other cleansers who wish to share
  • Inspiration, motivation and accountability will be provided for the 10 days of the cleanse

Why Accountability?

  • Any time we invest in something we become instantly more accountable for our actions
  • Everyone needs a little support, someone not only cheering them on, but also reminding them of why it is important
  • It just works, trust me

What are past cleansers saying?

My cleanse experience was so positive – after the 10 days were up I didn’t want to stop.  After the initial adjustment I felt in balance, energetic and healthy – I was also never hungry which made this a sustainable sustainable for me.  I also lost 6 lbs within the first 10 days which felt SO great!  I am thankful for Hannah’s guidance during the cleanse – her plan, her encouragement, and her recipes made this a life changing experience.  I continued on with the plan for 30 days and plan to do it again in the New Year.  Thanks, Hannah! - Nicole Hough, Ridgewood, NJ

The cleanse brought me to a place of being very in tune with my body. I am better equipped than ever before to make good food choices for myself. I lost weight, lost bloat and felt light and happy!  I’m definitely looking forward to the next cleanse! -Elisabeth, East Greenwich, RI

This sounds great! I am so excited to get a spot in the cleanse. I am thinking about my power foods as I write this. It’s a little more difficult than I thought. I hope I am on target!

Hannah, I am thinking of taking the cleanse. Could you give me a rough estimate of how much $ the food costs for the duration of the cleanse? Thanks.

Hannah May 5, 2011 at 8:56 am

Leigh, I always end up spending just a bit more than normal weeks because I tend to buy things for myself on top of what I am buying for the family. So for instance, we are having tacos with black beans tonight. I bought black beans, some cod, taco shells and all the usual fixings, but for myself I am going to have them in a collard wrap instead. Collard wraps replace the taco shell for me.

There are also some things you may want to buy that you aren’t used to like coconut oi, agave, some other bulk items. These are a little bit of an investment but go a long way and will become pantry staples for you I’m sure.

The cleanse is based on simple foods, but you can expect to save money eating out and spend more at the market buying your own food.

Hope this helped!

Hannah – great idea! Should you workout while on the cleanse? Does it provide enough calories?
Thanks!

Hannah May 9, 2011 at 3:59 pm

Absolutely, plenty of calories!

I take Chocolate Shakeology once a day am I going to have to cut this out??????

Hannah May 31, 2011 at 4:25 pm

This is not a whole food and it has whey in it among other things we are eliminating. So you would need to cut it on this cleanse.

HI Hannah,

Love your website! Can the cleanse be customized to accommodate food allergies and sensitivities?

when will you be doing another JOY UP?

Thank you,
Stacey

Hannah August 9, 2011 at 10:16 am

Yes, the cleanse addresses most allergies, and is easy to adapt to personal sensitivities. And the Joy UP, hmm, in the works, stay tuned!

Any adaptations that could make it suitable for the mr.? thought I might drag him along for the trip. . .

Hannah August 30, 2011 at 5:54 am

We strongly encourage your to bring the Mr. along. Typically they don’t give up coffee though we have found!!!

Hello Hannah!
I am so excited to do your cleanse. On paypal I used my Parkmont address, but I think we should assume that the gmail address above is probably a better one to use (from our past experience!)
Heaps of thank you and joy!

Hi Hannah, I have signed up again as I felt so great after the last go …but I am almost out of my Spring Renewal Tea from Love & Tea. Do you know they have a new “Fall” version or do you suggest sticking with the same one? I tried to browse their website but was not sure…..

Hannah September 7, 2011 at 12:34 pm
